I decided to study Neuroscience because I’m fascinated by how the brain creates our individual experiences and personalities. I’m especially interested in why differences in brain structure and function can lead to psychological disorders. After my personal experience in helping support someone with schizophrenia, I became curious about how and why these conditions develop, and how science can lead to better treatments and quality of life for those who experience them. I’m excited to contribute to ongoing work in the BIB Lab, build my research skills, and learn more about the brain from both a scientific and human perspective.
Outside of academics, I love to read, watch TV, and do pottery whenever I get the chance.
