Psychology Research Assistant
Undergraduate

I am a psychology major with a strong interest in abnormal behavior and how it relates to brain function. My curiosity about the connection between mind and biology has drawn me toward the neuroanatomy side of psychology, where I enjoy learning how different brain structures influence thought, emotion, and behavior.

I chose to join the BIB Lab because I wanted to move beyond the classroom and gain hands-on experience studying the neurological factors that underlie mental health conditions like schizophrenia. The opportunity to work closely with other lab members and contribute to meaningful research has given me a deeper appreciation for how this work can ultimately improve lives. Being part of the BIB Lab has reinforced my desire to continue exploring the brain–behavior relationship and to pursue a PhD, with the goal of becoming a research scientist and professor in academia.

Outside of studying the brain, I enjoy taking walks, doing photography photoshoots, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with my husband, family, and friends.
