2020-2022
While They Were Here: Neuroscience Research Assistant/Honors Student
Where They Went: Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine, Medical School

I joined the BIB Lab because I felt like it would give me a different understanding of the brain. The lab utilizes computational tools to study psychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases, and I feel like this would welcome a new way of viewing and studying the brain. My major is Neuroscience. During my sophomore year at BYU-Idaho, I took an introductory neuroscience class and I fell in love with it. I loved learning more about the brain and expanding my knowledge about it. When I transferred to BYU in 2019, I decided to switch my major from Biology with a Human Anatomy emphasis to Neuroscience. I love being able to take both psychology and anatomy and combining it to better understand the brain. After undergrad, I hope to pursue a career in the medical field. I want to work in pediatrics and have been thinking about pursuing neurology as well. I enjoy baking and gardening whenever I have some free time between classes and homework. I also enjoy tutoring BYU students through Y-Serve and volunteering with Kids on the Move.
