I am a psychology and philosophy double major. I am particularly interested in philosophy of mind, non-reductive theories of consciousness, and phenomenology. I plan to obtain a PhD in clinical psychology and potentially a masters in philosophy to do clinical practice and teach and publish theoretical psychology and philosophy.
I chose to join the BIB Lab because I am interested in non-physicalist solutions to the Hard Problem of Consciousness. I felt participating in the research that undergirds reductive theories would help me understand the theoretical landscape and the opposing physicalist position.
I also work part-time in a crisis center for youth. In my free time, I enjoy reading philosophy and classical literature, running, writing, and discussing philosophy with friends.
