I decided to study Neuroscience because I enjoy a challenge. I'm especially interested in topics that aren’t fully understood, and I love the idea of contributing to something bigger by helping expand what we know about the brain. There’s still so much we don’t understand about why the brain works the way it does, and I’m fascinated by how those mysteries make each person unique.
I really enjoy doing research in the BYU Biblab because it gives me the chance to be part of a growing field while also growing myself. Getting hands-on experience, learning more about neurological disorders, and working alongside other lab members has helped me appreciate the importance of this research even more. Being part of the Biblab has also inspired me to continue helping others in the future, especially through work in the medical field and eventually in a hospital setting.
Outside of studying the brain, I like reading, playing the piano, fishing, learning about astronomy, and watching pretty much any kind of show. I’m a big fan of Twenty One Pilots, and I’m usually listening to them or country music.
